i listen to the weekly NON canonoical podcast ( [link] ) from melb australia. i know a few of the guys who host it & its entertaining... (also cause they've plugged my book a few times) but honestly i couldnt give a shit about comic news. the books i like dont really make the western news sites.
www.yourmothersfivehole.com it´s a good place to get all the info I need, if there´s some comic related news, even better Mostly following the pros thru dA. I´m amazed how people can find the time to read so many websites and blogs, twitter, and such. I guess I should stop watching porn for so many hours a day. Baaaalls!
I usually check the Robot 6 blog on ComicBookResources rather than the CBR website itself. Robot 6 (esp. its Comics AM entries) seems to be more actual comics news than press releases and promotional interviews. I also read Comic Alliance; I skim over Bleeding Cool (seems more sensationalist news to me); and I'll read The Beat. I get a lot through social media (Facebook, DA, Tumblr, Twitter). And my wife works at a comic shop so I'll hear something from her.
My wife tweeted at Kevin Smith about his show: "Dear @ThatKevinSmith thank you for informing me that I don't exist." She hashtagged it with #Ihaveboobies. I told her he has them too, which is why he got booted off of that Southwest flight.
I try. I don't read many of the superhero types of books bu t I still like to keep up on what's going on in them, at least certain ones. And I love reading artists interviews, which is probably why I do them for Comicsbulletin.com now.
